Meet Our Attorney
Roy Andrian is a young, dynamic Indonesian attorney with more than fifteen years of experience gained from both private practice and in-house environments. He has advised on all relevant aspects of Indonesian law and has represented clients from a variety of industries, including oil & energy, mining, and manufacturing.
Prior to founding Andrian Law Practice, Roy was a Senior Associate spending a total of seven years with one of Jakarta’s leading independent law firms. Thereafter, he went in-house and spent four years at a global oilfield service company headquartered in Houston, at which he was geographically responsible for the company’s Asia Pacific legal operations.
In 2011, he relocated to Singapore to practice Indonesian law with a local law firm. He was the firm’s Foreign Lawyer in charge of Singaporean clients doing business in Indonesia. In 2013, he returned home to Jakarta to set up his own practice Andrian Law Practice.
Roy is a licensed advocate with the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI). He earned his law degree from Parahyangan Catholic University, Indonesia. He was awarded Top Graduate on his graduation. During his legal study, he was a recipient of scholarships from the university and the winner of a legal essay contest sponsored by a law firm in Jakarta.
Roy speaks English and bahasa Indonesia. He has substantial experience in dealing with English-bahasa Indonesia documentation and assisting clients on bilingual negotiations in complicated transactions. In 2008, Roy was appointed as a sworn translator.
With a deep understanding of Indonesian complex regulatory landscape, local culture, and business environment, Roy is developing a reputation for being retained as “outside general counsel” to a growing list of companies and helping their business succeed with peace of mind.
